Shrewsbury woman dies after crashing into a school bus Thursday

SHREWSBURY — A woman was killed after crashing into an empty school bus in Shrewsbury Thursday morning.

According to WFXT, the accident took place just before 11 a.m. at the intersection of South Quinsigamond Avenue and May Street.

The driver of the passenger vehicle, a 49-year-old Shrewsbury woman, was transported to UMass Memorial following the crash, where she was later pronounced dead.

The driver of the bus and a bus-aid were injured in the crash.

Police say no children were on the bus at the time of the accident.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
