WESTBOROUGH — The Westborough Fire Department responded to two separate crashes today, both of which caused traffic disruptions in different parts of town.
In a social media post made around 8:15 a.m., the department said that Truck 1 and Medic 3 were dispatched to 81 Flanders Road for a crash involving a truck and a utility pole. National Grid was requested to the scene to assess damage to electrical infrastructure.
Shortly afterward, the department announced in a separate post that Truck 1 and Medic 4 were responding to a motorcycle crash on Interstate 495 southbound near the 59-mile marker.
Motorists were advised to seek alternate routes and expect traffic delays.
