STOW — The Stow Police Department will hold a “Rolling Stuff-a-Cruiser” event on Sunday, Dec. 7, to collect food and essential items for the Stow Food Pantry.
According to a statement from Stow Police Chief Michael Sallese, three police cruisers will tour the town from 10 a.m. to approximately 2:40 p.m., stopping at designated locations to receive donations from residents.

Police are encouraging the community to contribute non-perishable items, including crackers, cereal, decaf ground coffee or instant coffee, mayonnaise and shaped pasta, excluding spaghetti. Chief Sallese said the goal is to help keep the Stow Food Pantry well stocked during the holiday season, when demand is typically highest.

The department released a detailed, time-stamped route plan showing specific streets and neighborhood stops throughout town between 10 a.m. and approximately 2:40 p.m.

“We understand that this is a tough time for a lot of our community members,” Chief Michael Sallese said. “With grocery delivery services being on the rise, many of the donation boxes in stores aren’t getting the donations they used to. We figured this was a great way for us to bring the donation boxes to them. We will also be providing additional stops and pick up services to those who may need assistance carrying the items. We want to do all we can to support our residents and help ensure that individuals and families have the food they need for the upcoming holiday season.”
Those who require additional assistance with food items are encouraged to contact Phoenix Dwyer, business office manager for the Stow Police Department, at pdwyer@stow-ma.gov.
