CHARLTON — On Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at approximately 7:45 a.m., Charlton police responded to a two-vehicle crash on Route 20 in Charlton.
According to the Worcester County District Attorney’s Office, the driver of one of the vehicles was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the second vehicle was transported by LifeFlight to UMass Memorial Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The crash remains under active investigation by the Charlton Police Department, Massachusetts State Police detectives assigned to the Worcester County District Attorney’s Office, State Police Crime Scene Services, the State Police Collision Analysis & Reconstruction Section, and the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
The Worcester County District Attorney’s Office said the identities of those involved will not be released at the present time.
