WORCESTER — On Thursday, April 2, 2026, at approximately 4:11 a.m., Worcester police responded to a report of a stabbing at a rooming house on Catharine Street.
According to the Worcester Police Department, when officers arrived on scene, they found an adult male suffering from stab wounds.
Police said the victim was taken to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
Officers also found an adult male suspect at the scene and placed him under arrest in connection with the stabbing.
“All evidence indicates that this is an isolated incident and there is no danger to the public,” the department said in a statement.
The case remains under investigation by the Worcester Police Department’s Detective Bureau.
