DUXBURY — A Duxbury woman who jumped out the window of a home Tuesday evening is a suspect in the deaths of two young children.
According to Plymouth District Attorney Timothy J. Cruz, at approximately 6 p.m., Duxbury police were dispatched to 47 Summer Street by a man who reported that a woman attempted to commit suicide by jumping out a window.
Upstairs in the residence, a five-year-old girl and three-year-old boy were found “unconscious, with obvious signs of trauma,” Cruz said. An eight-month-old boy was flown to an area hospital with serious injuries. The five-year-old girl and three-year-old boy were pronounced dead at an area hospital.
Citing an ongoing investigation, investigators have not yet identified the woman, the children and the woman’s relationship to the children.
But, Boston.com reports that the woman was an employee of Massachusetts General Hospital.
