SHREWSBURY – On Wednesday, April 5, 2023, at 7:41 a.m., Officer Dimos Georgiadis of the Shrewsbury Police Department was dispatched to the area of Flynn’s Truck Stop at the intersection of Hartford Turnpike and Grafton Street following a report of a located stolen motor vehicle.
According to Officer Georgiadis’ Statement of Facts, from the lobby of the Shrewsbury Police Station, the owner of the vehicle reported the crime, gave police a description of the vehicle as well as the woman who allegedly stole it.
“The stolen vehicle was described as a white Toyota Rav-4, bearing Massachusetts registration #[redacted],” wrote Officer Georgiadis in his Statement of Facts for the incident. “The reporting party has filled out a written statement, and described the female that was in possession of the vehicle as Hispanic.”
Officers eventually located the vehicle in the driveway of 678 Grafton Street, a residence near Flynn’s Truck Stop.
“Upon making contact with the owner of the house, officers were notified that there were two females inside a bedroom on the second floor. Officers located and identified one of those females as Kyla Sepulveda (DOB: 09/26/1988),” Officer Georgiadis said in his Statement of Facts. Later adding, “Sepulveda stated that she is Hispanic. To be noted, the reporting party positively identified the female when he was presented with a RMV photo of her. Dispatch notified us that Sepulveda had active warrants for her arrest.”
According to police, Sepulveda, 34, is a resident of 44 Mendon Street, Apt. 1, in Worcester.
Sepulveda was arrested and charged with receiving a stolen motor vehicle.
Her bail was set at $250.
During her arraignment on April 5 in Westborough District Court, Judge Timothy Bibaud approved a motion by the Commonwealth to revoke Sepulveda’s bail.
Sepulveda was transported to court from prison for a pretrial hearing on May 15.
She is scheduled to appear in court again on July 5.
