Officers knocked on the motel room – which was under Hunter’s name – and after a brief hesitation he opened the door.

The woman was located physically unharmed inside the room, but in a distraught state.

Police located two knives on Hunter, one which they say was consistent with the knife used to rob the couple.

Hunter was taken into custody without incident.

Hunter was charged with armed robbery, assault with a dangerous weapon (two counts), kidnapping, assault to commit rape, and assault and battery.
