LEOMINSTER — Authorities are investigating the death of a four-month-old baby which took place in Leominster last week, according to the Worcester County District Attorney’s Office.
The infant died on Tuesday, May 14, 2024.
The infant, whose identity has not been disclosed, died on May 14, 2024, according to a statement from Lindsay Corcoran, a spokesperson for the Worcester County District Attorney’s Office.
A spokesperson for the Department of Children and Families told a reporter from the Boston Globe, which got a tip that led to breaking the story, that it is aware of the situation and has launched its own investigation into the child’s death.
“The Department of Children and Families received a report and is investigating,” the spokesperson stated.
Leominster police directed inquiries to the district attorney’s office. As of Monday evening, no further information was available.
