WORCESTER — A Worcester man was arrested in connection with the death of a man whose body was found in the woods in Hubbardston Saturday morning.
According to the Worcester County District Attorney’s Office, Ryan Wilcox, 32, of Worcester was arrested on Sunday, Jan. 5, 2025 in connection with the death, and charged with armed assault with intent to kill, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon causing serious bodily injury, and assault with a dangerous weapon.
The victim has been identified as Mitchell Burke, 32, of Worcester.
Hubbardston police discovered Burke’s body after responding to a report of a body found in the woods off Brigham Street on January 4, 2024, shortly before 10:00 a.m.
Wilcox was arrested the next day following an investigation commenced by the Hubbardston Police Department and Massachusetts State Police Detectives assigned to the Worcester County District Attorney’s office.
Wilcox’s arraignment was scheduled for Monday, Jan. 6, 2025, in Worcester Central District Court.
The investigation into Burke’s death is ongoing.
