CHARLTON — At 2:30 a.m. this morning, Charlton firefighters and police were dispatched to 300 Dresser Hill Road following a report of a single motor vehicle accident.

According to a statement from the Charlton Fire Department, while Engine 3 and Ambulance 2 were en route, they were updated by Charlton police that the vehicle was fully involved in flames and had begun to spread to nearby brush.

“Due to the extremely dry conditions, a mutual aid engine from Dudley fire was requested to assist,” the Charlton Fire Department said in a statement. “Thanks to the quick response and coordinated efforts, the fire was swiftly brought under control.”
No injuries were reported.
Glad to see there were no injuries.
