HAVERHILL — The Haverhill Police Department, in conjunction with other law enforcement agencies, is currently conducting an investigation in the West Lowell Avenue area.
In a statement posted to social media at approximately 8:52 p.m. today, the Haverhill Police Department said residents should not be alarmed if they hear a “small explosion,” explaining that the sound will be the result of a controlled detonation carried out by law enforcement.
Additional information will be released when appropriate, the department said.
