Swansea man charged with child pornography and firearms offenses after warrant search

SWANSEA — On Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2026, at about 6 a.m., Swansea police responded to the residence located at 300 Pamela Drive to assist the Massachusetts State Police Cyber Crimes Unit and Special Tactics and Operations Team (STOP) in executing a search warrant.

According to Swansea Police Chief Mark Foley, state police obtained the warrant following an investigation by the state police’s Cyber Crimes Unit into reports that the resident, 39-year-old Bryan Golden, of Swansea, was allegedly in possession of child pornography.

Golden was taken into custody without incident on Wednesday, Chief Foley said.

During the execution of the search warrant, Swansea police detectives also located and seized five firearms inside the residence, including a Smith & Wesson M&P rifle, Ruger 10/22 rifle, Remington rifle, Mossberg rifle and Mosin-Nagant rifle.

Golden was arrested by state police on a charge of possession of child pornography. Swansea police detectives subsequently obtained a warrant on Wednesday additionally charging him with possession of a large-capacity firearm, two counts of possession of a firearm without a firearms identification card and a firearm violation with a prior violent crime.

Golden was scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday in Fall River District Court.

“This arrest was the result of a coordinated effort between our detectives and our partners at the Massachusetts State Police,” Chief Foley said. “While assisting with the warrant, our detectives also identified several firearms inside the home and took appropriate enforcement action to address potential public safety concerns. The Swansea Police Department is committed to working collaboratively with our law enforcement partners to investigate serious offenses and ensure that our community is safe and protected.”
