Woman employed by Methuen Public Schools under investigation for alleged misconduct with student

METHUEN — The Methuen Police Department has opened an investigation into the conduct of a woman employed by Methuen Public Schools after school district administrators reported concerns to a school resource officer about the employee’s potentially inappropriate conduct and communications with a student.

According to a statement from Methuen Police Chief Scott J. McNamara issued on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, the matter remains a personnel issue within the school district, but a Methuen police detective has been assigned to determine if any unlawful conduct occurred. The woman’s name and position have not been released.

Chief McNamara said the investigation is active and ongoing.
