MARION — On Thursday, May 7, 2026, at approximately 8:30 a.m., Marion police responded to the area of 350 Front Street following a report of an unresponsive man inside a vehicle.
According to the Marion Police Chief Richard B. Nighelli, when officers arrived on scene, they located a 76-year-old man inside a vehicle, who was deceased.
Police notified the Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office, which is investigating the death. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner took possession of the man’s body, according to Chief Nighelli.
Based on a preliminary investigation, foul play is not suspected.
Chief Nighelli said additional inquiries should be directed to the Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office.
