HANSON — A 58-year-old Hanson man has been identified as the driver who died after the pickup truck he was driving crashed into a home on High Street Monday evening.

According to Plymouth County District Attorney Timothy J. Cruz and Hanson Police Chief Michael D. Casey, on Monday, May 18, 2026, at approximately 6:22 p.m., the homeowner at 481 High Street contacted the Hanson police and fire departments after a pickup truck struck the front of his residence.

When Hanson police officers and firefighters arrived on scene, they found a Chevrolet pickup truck that had rolled onto the driver’s side and crashed through a bay window at the front of the home.

The driver of the Chevrolet, who was identified as Brian Crowley, 58, of Hanson, was the sole occupant of the truck. Crowley was unconscious and trapped inside the vehicle when first responders arrived, and firefighters immediately began extrication efforts.

After a lengthy extrication involving hydraulic rescue tools, Crowley was removed from the vehicle and transported to Brockton Hospital, where he died from his injuries.

The crash remains under investigation by the Hanson Police Department and Massachusetts State Police detectives assigned to the Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office, with assistance from the Massachusetts State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section.
