Randolph man indicted on federal fentanyl, cocaine, MDMA trafficking and firearm charges

BOSTON — A 32-year-old Randolph man was indicted Tuesday, May 26, 2026, by a federal grand jury on drug trafficking and firearm charges.

Tayvon Harper was charged with one count of possession with intent to distribute controlled substances and one count of possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Massachusetts.

According to the indictment, Harper allegedly possessed fentanyl, cocaine, and MDMA intended for distribution on Feb. 25, 2026, in Holbrook. Federal prosecutors say that, on that same day, Harper also possessed a Glock 21 .45-caliber pistol, one magazine containing 13 rounds of .45-caliber ammunition, and $1,040 in cash.

The charge of possession with intent to distribute controlled substances carries a sentence of up to 20 years in prison, at least three years of supervised release, and a fine of up to $1 million.

The charge of possessing a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime carries a mandatory minimum sentence of five years in prison, to be served consecutively to any other sentence, up to five years of supervised release and a fine of up to $250,000.

United States Attorney Leah B. Foley and Jarod A. Forget, special agent in charge of the Drug Enforcement Administration’s New England Field Division, announced the indictment.

The Holbrook and Randolph police departments, Massachusetts State Police and the Norfolk County District Attorney’s Office provided assistance in the investigation.

Assistant U.S. Attorney David Cutshall of the Organized Crime & Gang Unit is prosecuting the case.
