WORCESTER – The residents of 99 June Street were displaced following a fire that tore through the three-decker Thursday morning.
Heavy smoke, visible from a distance, was pouring out of the building and the top two floors were engulfed in flames when fire fighters arrived on scene at 11:35 a.m.
Following their arrival, fire fighters began by putting out the blaze on the front porch of the building’s second unit, the Telegram & Gazette reports.
Within 20 minutes, the fire was put out completely.
No residents were injured in the fire, even though one individual was in the building at the time of the blaze.
Several cats were removed from the building unharmed.
All of those residing in the dwelling were displaced.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
