LEOMINSTER — On the evening of Thursday, Nov. 16, 2023, a joint task force assisted Leominster police in serving a search warrant at the New Orchid Spa, which was determined to be a brothel after a lengthy investigation.
According to a post on The Leominster Police Department’s Facebook page, two individuals (who were not named) were charged with deriving support from prostitution and two victims were relocated to a safe location and given financial assistance by the Leominster Police Department’s Community Outreach Team.
“The Leominster Police Department would like to thank the community for its patience during this investigation and understanding that these specific crimes are not solved overnight and can take several months or years,” the Leominster Police Department’s Facebook post said. “We stand committed to protecting the community we serve and there is no place for any House of Ill Fame in the City of Leominster.”
Assisting the Leominster Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Bureau with serving the warrant were the Massachusetts State Police Human Trafficking Division of the Attorney General’s Office, Massachusetts State Police Cyber Crimes Unit, Crime Scene Services, Gardner Police Department, Littleton Police Department, Homeland Security Investigations, Worcester County District Attorney’s Office Victim Witness Advocates, and several other law enforcement agencies.
