TEMPLETON — The driver of a dirt bike sustained life-threatening injuries after colliding with a motor vehicle as it was taking a left turn into the parking lot of Candlelite Café on 712 Patriots Road (Route 2A), around 11:30 p.m. on Saturday.
Security camera footage from a nearby home, obtained by The Gardner News, shows two other dirt bike riders arriving at the scene shortly after the accident. The injured dirt bike rider was taken to Heywood Hospital with life-threatening injuries. At the time of the crash, the rider was not wearing a helmet.

According to police, the driver of the vehicle involved in the accident will not face any citations for moving violations.
The names of those involved in the accident were not released by officials.
The Massachusetts State Police Accident Reconstruction team was called to the scene following the crash.
The investigation into the accident is ongoing.
