TEMPLETON — On Sunday, May 24, 2026, at approximately 12:35 a.m., Templeton Dispatch received a call reporting that a male party had been seen going through vehicles at Old Glory Solar, located at 140 Patriots Road in East Templeton.
According to Templeton Police Chief Michael Bennett, Templeton Dispatch immediately notified the on-duty officers, who quickly responded to the area.
While officers were en route, the reporting party, who was watching the incident via a security camera, told dispatch that the suspect had just stolen a work van and was leaving the parking lot.
At approximately 12:38 a.m., police located the vehicle driving on High Street. Officers conducted a motor vehicle stop and detained the suspect, whose name was not released by Templeton police.
There was no reported damage to the vehicle, which was later returned to the business owner.
Chief Bennett said that there were also other reports of the same male party on cameras in the area.
The suspect will face charges in Gardner District Court, Chief Bennett said.
