WINCHENDON — On Thursday, April 4, 2024, at 12:40 p.m., Winchendon Police Officer Dylan Mei enlisted the assistance of Officer Daniel Caputi to gather information from a woman residing at the Countryside Motel. This inquiry was connected to threatening voicemails she reported receiving from Geoffrey Cullanine.

When Officer Caputi arrived, the woman played the previous night’s overtly sexual, derogatory, and threatening voicemails from a Peabody number, which police eventually verified was Cullanine’s.
The first voicemail, received at 9:46 p.m., was the following: “Please, China Penis, you like big penis, penis, penis. Go suck on some penis, reaper. You’re an auto reaper, you’re not a victim. You’re a f$ck*ng phony, phony, phony.”
A follow-up message at 9:48 p.m. threatened her further, saying, “Hello, [name redacted]. You’ve been calling me. Kyle didn’t do sh*t. Yo, if anything, you tried to rape him, so don’t try and carry this sh*t out. Just recount your statement and end it, or else you’ll have problems. Yes, also, [name redacted] did call about the penis enlargement surgery, and I don’t know where to go through that guy; clearly, he’s very large. But if we will be able to call Kyle back with this message, and if you can’t, well, you’re pretty much f$ck#d. Sorry, bye.”
Officer Caputi informed the woman of her rights under the Massachusetts harassment prevention law (Massachusetts General Law 258E, Sec.8) and had her sign a copy before he departed. The law requires officers to take reasonable steps to prevent further abuse or harassment when they believe someone is at risk.
Later that evening, at 7 p.m., Officer Caputi contacted Geoffrey Cullanine, informing him of the report and the saved voicemails.
According to police, Geoffrey Cullanine, 34, is a resident of 75 Lincoln Avenue in Winchendon.
“When asked about the incident Geoffrey said something to the effect of ‘I was really drunk last night, I remember calling [name redacted] however I don’t remember exactly what I said,’” Officer Caputi said. “It should be noted one of the phone numbers we have on record for Geoffrey is the number that called [the woman].”
Cullanine told Officer Caputi that he was hanging out with his friend Zack last night and provided Zack’s phone number to the officer.
“Zack returned my call at approximately 7:25 p.m.,” Officer Caputi said. “I informed Zack about the complaint received regarding Geoffrey. Zack said he didn’t call anyone and had nothing to do with the incident. I asked if he heard his friend Geoffrey call [the woman] he said no.”
The woman residing at the motel is both a victim and a witness in a criminal case from February 28, 2024. On that day, Kyle Connor, a male “friend” of hers who had been drinking in her room, called her a “f$ck*ng whore,” shoved her onto the bed while gripping her throat, then, when she managed to push him out, punched through the front window of her room when he found the door locked.
Kyle John Connor, 37, is a resident of 662 Spring Street in Winchendon. According to court documents, Connor is single and works as a laborer at Belletetes in Winchendon.

“As it was clear, Geoffrey Cullanine was aware of the case involving Kyle Connor,” Officer Caputi said. “He referenced it in his voicemails to [the woman] by directly and willfully threatening her, harassing, and intimidating her with the intent of impeding the criminal court proceeding; Geoffrey called her cellphone multiple times, leaving threatening voicemails, and at the end of the second voicemail said something to the effect of ‘recount your statement and end it or else you’ll have problems if you can’t, well you’re pretty much f$ck*d sorry bye,’ he is being charged with Intimidation of a Witness (Witness Interference & Obstruction of Justice) under MGL c.268, s.13B.”
Cullanine’s arraignment in Winchendon District Court took place about six weeks following the incident on May 14, 2024.
