MEDFORD — A portion of Mystic Avenue was shutdown this morning after a telephone pole and powerlines fell onto the street.
At about 11:47 a.m., Medford police announced the road closure on Facebook saying that traffic was being diverted around Mystic Avenue.
“Seek alternate routes at this time and expect delays throughout the city,” the Medford Police Department’s post said. “Residents may also be experiencing power outages in the area. Please DO NOT call 911 to report a power outage unless you are experiencing an emergency or are dependent on power for medical equipment. Mass State Police, National Grid and DPW have all been notified.”
Medford police said they will provide an update when they have further information.
