โI heard them shouting โhere they comeโ in reference to seeing my cruiser,โ Officer Welch said. โI observed another crowd in the back parking lot. This business typically has physical altercations occur around closing time, which prompted me to activate my emergency blue lights and proceed to the rear of the building.โ
Officer William Chapman responded to the scene as well.
Officer Welch reported that when he and Officer Chapman arrived on scene, many people began to โdisperse from the area.โ As Officer Welch and Chapman exited their cruisers, they were met with two men who said there was โsome sort of altercationโ that had occurred when they were trying to leave.
โI immediately recognized one of these male parties to be Micah Blaisdell,โ Officer Welch said. โI also recognized Micah’s vehicle, which was a grey, Honda Accord, with black bumpers.โ
According to police, Micah Blaisdell, 25, is a resident of 4 Main Street in Hubbardston, MA.

โDuring this time, I was aware of a BOLO [Be on the Lookout] for Micah that had been issued by the Templeton Police Department at approximately 5:29 p.m. on August 9, 2024,โ Officer Welch said. โThis BOLO was requested by Detective Eric Smith. Detective Smith took a report from Ms. [first name redacted] Piermarini. [She] reported that Micah had violated an active restraining order that she had against him. Based on Detective Smith’s investigation, he determined that there was probable cause to arrest Micah for this violation.โ
Officer Welch then told Blaisdell that he needed to speak with him.
โMicah was hesitant and questioned me,โ Officer Welch said. โI eventually explained to him that we had received a report that he violated a restraining order earlier in the day and that we were looking for him. Micah immediately got upset and stated that he did not violate anything. We continued to explain the situation to Micah, who was visibly distraught and pacing around. After some conversation, Micah allowed Officer Chapman to place him in handcuffs (dl) [double locked]. Micah was searched, and eventually escorted to the back of Officer Chapman’s cruiser. Shortly after, we cleared the area and proceeded to the station for booking procedures.โ
On August 9, 2024, at 1:55 p.m., Detective Eric Smith of the Templeton Police Department responded to a call from [First name redacted] Piermarini about a potential violation of a 209a Abuse Prevention Order. He spoke with her at 2:44 p.m. and arranged for her to visit the Templeton Police Station to provide a statement regarding the incident that allegedly occurred in front of her house. At approximately 3:51 p.m., Ms. Piermarini arrived at the station and met with Officer Welch.
โAfter speaking with [Ms. Piermarini] I became aware of the following circumstances,โ Detective Smith said. โ[Ms. Piermarini] had been in an on again off again relationship with Micah Blaisdell for approximately four years. [Ms. Piermarini] has had previous restraining orders on Micah. Currently, [Ms. Piermarini] has a refrain from abuse/no contact order against Micah, with a stay away [order] of 100 yards.โ

Ms. Piermarini told Detective Smith that at approximately 1:14 p.m. that day, she was brushing her hair in the front room of her house which has windows that face towards State Road, when she observed Blaisdell driving slowly past her house while honking the horn of his vehicle, a gray Honda Accord with a black front bumped and black rear bumper.
โ[Ms. Piermarini] stated that Micah was driving westbound on State Road towards Baldwinville when she observed him,โ Detective Smith said. โThis event took place at approximately 1:14 p.m. and [Ms. Piermarini] called and reported the event to the Templeton Police at approximately 1:20 p.m. From the street to [her] house, it is obvious that it is less than 100 yards. I would estimate 50 to 60 feet. At this time, probable cause exists to arrest Micah for violating an abuse prevention order. An administrative message was sent out as a BOLO for arrest.โ
Blaisdell was charged with violating an abuse prevention order.
Following his arrest, Blaisdell was taken to the Worcester County Sheriffโs Office House of Corrections where he was held for the weekend. He appeared for arraignment at Winchendon District Court on the following Monday, August 12, 2024.
