WORCESTER — Worcester police confirmed that 1-year-old Liyana Collins, who was reported missing and believed to be in danger while with her mother, has been safely located.
Last Wednesday, police asked for the public’s help in finding Liyana, stating that she was with her mother, Amanda Collins, and attempts to contact Amanda had been unsuccessful. Officials expressed concerns for the child’s safety.
By Friday, police posted an update on Facebook confirming that “Liyana has been located and is safe. Thank you for your assistance.” However, the department did not provide details about Amanda’s status.
On Sunday, a spokesperson for the Worcester Police Department said Collins “was never missing and is not currently missing.”
