LEOMINSTER โ On Monday, March 31, 2025, at approximately 7:32 p.m., Officer Brandon Carlson of the Leominster Police Department was dispatched to the Hannaford grocery store at 118 Lancaster Street following a report of a female shoplifter.

According to police, Lilliam Rodriguez Moreno, 48, is a resident of Water Street in Leominster, MA.
โI spoke with a member of the loss prevention team, [name redacted],โ Officer Carlson said. โ[The loss prevention team member] stated she was watching the video camera and saw Lilliam select items but not conceal them. [She] stated she went to the sales floor and observed Lilliam select an item and place it into a plastic tote bag.โ
The loss prevention team member stated that Lilliam went past all points of sale and was stopped outside the store with the unpaid items still in her bag, Officer Carlson recounted. The team member added that Lilliam admitted to stealing multiple items despite having the money to pay for them. The total value of the concealed items was $38.28.
โ[The loss prevention associate] advised Lilliam that she was being trespassed from Hannaford for life,โ
Officer Carlson said. โTrespass notice has been entered into the system. [The loss prevention associate] will attempt to get video camera footage of this incident and bring it to the police station to be added to this report.โ
Moreno was then placed under arrest for Shoplifting by Concealing Merchandise.
Moreno was arraigned in Leominster District Court on April 1, 2025. Following her arraignment, she was released on personal recognizance under the condition that she stay away from Hannaford. Her next court date is a pretrial hearing scheduled for April 17, 2025.
