LOWELL — The Middlesex District Attorney’s Office and Lowell police are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred Saturday morning on Cumberland Road.
According to District Attorney Marian Ryan and Lowell Police Superintendent Greg Hudon, officers responded to a 911 call at approximately 11:10 a.m. on April 19, 2025, reporting that a man had been shot at his residence.
Upon arrival, police found 50-year-old Tige Dyer suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. He was transported to a nearby hospital, where he later died.
Authorities said the preliminary investigation indicates the shooting was an isolated incident.
The case remains under investigation by the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office, Massachusetts State Police Detective’s assigned to the DA’s Office, and Lowell police.
