Brighton woman arraigned on assault charges tied to December stabbing outside Roadrunner music hall

BOSTON — The sister of the man charged in a December stabbing outside the Roadrunner music hall in Brighton was arraigned on assault charges Thursday in Brighton District Court, Suffolk County District Attorney Kevin Hayden announced.

Chandra Dixon, 38, of Brighton, was charged with assault and battery and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon (shod foot). Judge David Donnelly released Dixon on personal recognizance. She is scheduled to return to court on June 26 for a pretrial hearing.

According to the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office, Boston police responded to 89 Guest Street on December 1, 2024, following a report of a stabbing. The victim, 27, sustained five knife wounds to his back.

Collin Hullum, 37, was charged in December with assault to kill and assault and battery causing serious bodily injury after investigators obtained a warrant for his arrest. Hullum is scheduled for a probable cause hearing in Brighton District Court on June 18.

According to prosecutors, witnesses reported that a fight began after Hullum’s sister, later identified as Dixon, was confronted for allegedly cutting the line at the bar inside the music hall. Surveillance video captured a verbal argument escalating into a physical altercation between two groups prior to the stabbing.

Video footage shows Dixon running toward the group involved in the altercation and assaulting them. Detectives identified two victims: one who reported being punched and another who reported being kicked in the right shoulder. Although both victims initially stated they did not see who assaulted them, investigators later determined that Dixon was responsible.

“This was a thorough investigation that didn’t stop when one person was identified and charged,” Hayden said. “Everyone involved in this case worked diligently to identify and charge this second person for an extremely violent event that left the victim seriously injured.”
