LANCASTER — Police are investigating a fatal motorcycle crash on Route 117 that took place Thursday night.
According to Lancaster police, the motorcyclist was traveling westbound near Crawford Truck Sales when they failed to negotiate a curve in the roadway. The rider sustained fatal injuries at the scene.
Police have not released the victim’s identity.
“Our thoughts are with the family and loved ones of the individual involved during this difficult time,” Lancaster Police Chief Everett Moody said in a statement.
The crash remains under investigation by Lancaster police in conjunction with the Massachusetts State Police Accident Reconstruction Unit.
