“Thirty five Hill Street in Leominster, MA, has been condemned by the board of health for the city,” Officer Flory said. “Unless there is permission by the controlling real estate agency, no one is to be in the home at this time. The home is boarded up with notices posted on all points of entry into the home.”

“Upon our arrival, I spoke with the caller Jean [last name redacted], he stated that he was here for an appointment to see the home,” Officer Flory said.

Jean told Officer Flory that he was given the code to the key box by the real estate agent in charge of the home.

“He was advised that there should be no one else in the home at that time,” Officer Flory said. “When he went inside the home to look around, he made his way upstairs and when he looked into a bedroom, he noticed people in the bed. He quickly ran out of the house and then called police.”

Officer Flory asked Jean how many people he saw in the bed, and Jean responded that he thought there were about four, but he wasn’t certain as he only saw them briefly before fleeing.

“We then made entry into the home, I announced our presence several times,” Officer Flory said. “When we arrived at the bedroom that Jean described, I looked inside and saw John Geissler, who is known to me from previous police interaction. There was also a female party with him. She was later identified as Ashley Crowson. I asked John what he was doing here and Ashley stated that it was not her house and that it was his house. I informed her that it was not his house and they were both not supposed to be here.”

According to police, John E. Geissler, 47, is homeless in Leominster, MA.

Officer Flory asked Geissler and Crowson if anyone else was inside the home, and both stated that there was not.

“They were both ordered to get up from the bed and move out of the room,” Officer Flory said. Adding, “On August 3, 2025, a call with the same circumstances came in and I asked the court to issue a summons to John for Breaking & Entering for Misdemeanor. John is aware that the house is condemned and he is not supposed to be there.”

Officer Flory said that once Geissler exited the room, he asked him to remove his bag and place his hands behind his back. He was then placed under arrest for trespassing and breaking and entering.

“Ashley was ordered to leave the property and did so without incident,” Officer Flory said. “I then advised Jean that the house was clear and safe and he could proceed with his walk through. He told me he would be in contact with the agent who he spoke with about the home. The home is currently controlled by the Century 21 Fermin Group; they will be notified of the incident.”

John Geissler was charged with the following:

  • Breaking & Entering for Misdemeanor
  • Tresspass after notice

Geissler was arraigned in Leominster District Court on August 12, 2025. When he failed to post the $1,000 cash bail set by the court, a mittimus was issued, and he was committed to the Worcester County House of Correction. He remained in custody pending his next court appearance, which was a pretrial hearing scheduled for September 4, 2025.
