According to police, Kevin Gomez, Jr., 19, resides in Fitchburg, MA.
“I then activated my blue lights and initiated a traffic stop,” Det. St. Martin said. “Upon approaching the vehicle, I witnessed Kevin Gomez, Jr., operating the vehicle, and two other occupants inside the vehicle.”
Detective St. Martin reported that Gomez said he was unaware that both his registration and license were suspended and that he would not have been driving had he known.
“Kevin stated he received a notice from the RMV in the mail stating his registration and license would be suspended in September 2025 if he did not pay a specific bill, however he did not know it would have been suspended in August,” Det. St. Martin said. “Kevin showed me a screenshot of the letter of notice from the RMV, which stated his default date would be on August 12, 2025, if the bill went unpaid.”
According to Detective St. Martin, the two passengers in the vehicle both stated they were on probation and that there were no weapons or drugs inside the vehicle.
“All occupants of the vehicle were ordered to exit the vehicle one at a time prior to the vehicle being towed and all were patted down for weapons by Officer Cody Willman,” Det. Martin said. “No weapons were on any person, and no weapons or drugs were in the vehicle.”
At approximately 1:21 a.m., Kevin’s Automotive, located at 312 West Boylston Street in West Boylston, MA, towed the vehicle from the scene.
“Kevin removed all of his valuables from the vehicle prior to the vehicle being towed,” Det. St. Martin said.
Both passengers in the vehicle were picked up by one of their mothers.
“I requested a Certified Copy of the Suspensions from Dispatch and Kevin was handed Citation [# redacted] prior to Kevin leaving the scene,” Det. St. Martin said.
Kevin Gomez Jr. was charged with the following:
- Operating Motor Vehicle with License Suspended
- Unregistered Motor Vehicle
Gomez’s arraignment was scheduled for August 19, 2025, in Clinton District Court.
