WESTBOROUGH — Emergency crews responded to a serious multi-vehicle crash on the Massachusetts Turnpike eastbound near mile marker 104 this morning.
According to a social media post from the Westborough Fire Department made at approximately 7:09 a.m., Medic 3, Medic 1, and the Rescue unit were dispatched to the scene, which involved three vehicles, including a tractor-trailer.
Officials reported at least one person was entrapped as a result of the collision.
“Expect significant delays,” the department warned, noting that the incident was still being actively managed at the time of the alert.
No further details about injuries or the cause of the crash were immediately available.
Then, at approximately 8:12 a.m., the Westborough Fire Department reported they were working on a separate crash, a car versus tree in the area of 29 Hopkinton Road.
“Seek alternate route or expect delays,” the department said.
