MANCHESTER-BY-THE-SEA — On Wednesday, Oct. 15, at about 4:20 a.m., Manchester-by-the-Sea police responded to reports of a car submerged in the water at 121 Beach Street, near Singing Beach.
According to a statement from Lieutenant Mark McCoy of the Manchester-by-the-Sea Police Department, responding officers determined upon arrival that the driver and passenger had already exited the vehicle. Neither individual was injured.
Manchester-by-the-Sea police remained at the scene while Tally’s Towing recovered the vehicle from the water. The beach remains open, and the incident is under investigation by the Manchester-by-the-Sea Police Department.
