MANCHESTER-BY-THE-SEA — On Sunday, Nov. 16, 2025, at about 10 p.m., Manchester-by-the-Sea police responded to the train tracks between Summer Street and Magnolia Avenue following a report of a person struck by a train.
According to a statement from Manchester-by-the-Sea Police Chief Todd Fitzgerald, when officers arrived on the scene they found a man who had been struck by a train and suffered fatal injuries.
The incident remains under investigation by MBTA Transit Police, with assistance from the Essex County District Attorney’s Office.
Chief Fitzgerald said in his statement that no additional information will be released at this time.
