LEOMINSTER — On Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at approximately 4:31 p.m., Leominster Police Officer Tiffany Craven spoke with a woman who called the police department to report that she was threated with a butcher knife during a dispute earlier that day.

Officer Craven said she spoke with the woman, named Catherine [last name redacted], on the Leominster Police Department’s recorded line. Catherine, who is 38-years-old, told Officer Craven that she is a resident of the Meadowbrook Acres Mobile Home Park on Central Street and has been having ongoing issues with 48-year-old James Pierce, and his 72-year-old mother, who both reside in the same lot.
“Catherine stated that she wanted a restraining order against James due to issues that occurred earlier today,” Officer Craven said. “Catherine agreed to come to the station to speak with me further.”
Officer Craven said that, prior to Catherine’s arrival at the station, she spoke with James on the department’s recorded line.
“When asked what happened earlier today, James stated that Catherine always gets into arguments with [his mother] and gets in her face,” Officer Craven said. “James said that they do not want her at the residence, and she is a ‘druggie, liar, and a c*nt.’”
Officer Craven said that when she asked James what transpired between him and Catherine, he said that he was cooking dinner and engaged in a verbal argument with her, but nothing physical took place between the two of them.
“James said that nothing physical occurred and if he wanted to do something, he could,” Officer Craven said. “Please note that during our conversation, James was very uncooperative, irate, and continued to yell over me.”
Officer Craven said that when Catherine arrived at the station, she reported that around 3 p.m. that day she was in the back room of her residence getting dressed and finishing her laundry when James and his mother suddenly came “busting” inside and began yelling at her to “get the f*ck out.”
“Catherine stated that during the verbal argument, James stated that he was going to kill her,” Officer Craven said. “Catherine said that she told James that he ‘wasn’t going to do anything to her,’ so she went over to the dryer to continue with her laundry. Catherine said that at this point, James came towards her with a butcher knife in an ‘aggressive manner like Michael Meyers,’ stating that he was going to ‘chop her into pieces.’”
Officer Craven said she then spoke with Ashley [last name redacted], 31, who said she was Catherine’s girlfriend and was present during the argument between Catherine and James.
“Ashley said that she and Catherine were hanging out in the back room at approximately 2:00 p.m. and Catherine was getting dressed when ‘they’ came barging into the residence and yelling at Catherine,” Officer Craven said. “Ashley said that James yelled at Catherine, saying ‘get the f*ck out you c*nt.’ Ashley said that James then threatened Catherine with a kitchen knife and came towards her, saying that he was going to ‘cut her up into pieces.’”
Officer Craven filled out the emergency restraining order paperwork with Catherine and called the on-call judge.
“Ultimately, Judge [Nicole] Longton denied the request for the emergency restraining order, and I advised Catherine to go to Leominster District Court tomorrow morning to apply for a restraining order,” Officer Craven said.
Officer Craven said that, at this time, Officer Jason Labell, Officer Jonathan Ramos, Officer Michael Dingman, and Officer Kyle Abazorius then went to the 556 Central Street residence to speak with James.
Upon arrival, Officer Labell and Officer Craven saw a vehicle with Massachusetts plates drive passed them.
“Officers noticed that the driver, and registered owner of the vehicle was James,” Officer Craven said. “Officers turned our cruisers around and activated our blue lights in an attempt to conduct a motor vehicle stop.”
The vehicle stopped in front of 519 Central Street, where officers were able to speak with James.
“James was informed that he was being placed under arrest for Assault with a Dangerous Weapon,” Officer Craven said. “James was ordered out of the vehicle, and Officer Abazorius placed him in handcuffs. James was searched and transported back to the station for the booking process.”
James Pierce was arrested and charged with the following:
