LEICESTER — On Thursday, Nov. 27, 2025, at approximately 2:12 a.m. the Worcester Regional Communications Center received a report of a fire alarm activation at Eller’s Restaurant, located inside the commercial building at 190 Main Street in the Cherry Valley section of town.
According to a statement from Leicester Fire Chief Michael R. Dupuis, an occupant of the commercial building also called in to report that he saw something on fire in the kitchen area via security camera.
A first alarm was dispatched, and upon police arrival, officers confirmed visible smoke and fire inside the building. Due to the size of the structure, a second alarm was requested.
When crews from Engine 2 and Engine 4 arrived on scene, they entered the restaurant and located a fire in the kitchen/stove area.
“The fire was quickly brought under control,” Chief Dupuis said. “Crews remained on scene for a while ventilating smoke from the building. There was no damage to the building.”
Fire crews cleared the scene at approximately 3:45 a.m.
