CHELMSFORD — On Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at approximately 12:30 p.m., the Chelmsford police and fire departments responded to the area of 75 Littleton Road following a report of a crash.
According to Chelmsford police, first responders arrived to find a single-vehicle crash into a tree, with the driver suffering serious injuries.
The driver, an adult male, was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Littleton Road was closed Tuesday afternoon in the area to allow for crash reconstruction.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation by Chelmsford police and State Police detectives assigned to the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office, with assistance from the State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section.
