FRANKLIN — On Thursday, March 26, 2026, at approximately 3:48 p.m., firefighters with the Franklin Fire Department responded to the single-family residence located at 9 Willow Street after the Metacomet Emergency Communications Center received a call reporting a possible structure fire at the address.
According to the Franklin Fire Department, crews arrived to find a fire that had extended beyond the kitchen. Two pets were rescued and taken to Tufts Veterinary Hospital by bystanders.
The department said it was assisted at the scene by the Bellingham, Medway, Norfolk, Plainville, and Wrentham fire departments. The Foxboro Fire Department provided station coverage during the incident.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the Franklin Fire Department.
