LEOMINSTER — Leominster High School and the Center for Technical Education Innovation (CTEi) were placed on a “hold” this morning because of an email threat.

According to Leominster Police Chief Ryan D. Malatos, officers responded quickly and conducted a thorough investigation.

“The school has been deemed safe, and the hold has since been lifted,” Chief Malatos said in a statement. “Additionally, students and staff have returned to their normal schedules.”

Chief Malatos said the School Department notified parents and caregivers during the incident, and police may remain at the school throughout the morning as an added precaution.

“We appreciate the quick response of our officers and the cooperation of school staff in ensuring everyone’s safety,” Chief Malatos said.
