LEOMINSTER โ€” On Friday, April 17, 2026, Leominster Police Officers Christian Schwartz and Patrick Flory were dispatched to Leominster Hospital at 60 Hospital Road following a report of an unwanted guest, who was identified as Alicia Levert.

โ€œUpon arrival, hospital security personnel met us and explained that Alicia Levert was refusing to leave the premises,โ€ Officer Schwartz said. โ€œSecurity further informed us that Alicia had locked herself inside the ladies’ bathroom and had remained there for over an hour.โ€

According to police, Alicia L. Levert, 63, is homeless in Leominster, MA.

โ€œI proceeded to the nurse’s station and spoke with Gina [last name redacted], RN, who stated that hospital staff wanted Alicia removed from the property,โ€ Officer Schwartz said.

At this time, Officer Schwartz said dispatch confirmed that Levert had an active trespass order from Leominster Hospital due to numerous prior incidents over the past few years.

โ€œI attempted to advise Alicia of the trespass order, but she was dismissive and did not show concern for the warning,โ€ Officer Schwartz said. โ€œI approached the bathroom, spoke to Alicia, and she complied with my request to exit. Alicia emerged into the lobby and stated to me that she had not been evaluated by medical staff and that she was homeless. Security staff countered that Alicia had already received medical attention.โ€

To clarify, Officer Schwartz said he asked Alicia to sit in the lobby while he verified her status with the nurse.

โ€œGina [last name redacted], RN, joined us and confirmed that Alicia had been registered in the emergency room twice the previous night, had received appropriate medical care, and had been discharged both times,โ€ Officer Schwartz said. โ€œGina reiterated that Alicia had been instructed multiple times to leave the property. Alicia then began making incoherent statements regarding global and national turmoil, insisting that she needed to remain at the hospital. She also claimed that officers had previously advised her to come to the hospital. I acknowledged that during previous encounters she may have required medical attention, but explained that her needs had been addressed and that it was now necessary for her to vacate the premises.โ€

Officer Schwartz said that despite being given multiple clear warnings about the consequences of not leaving, Levert continued to refuse to vacate the premises.

โ€œShe stated directly that she would only leave if she was placed under arrest,โ€ Officer Schwartz said. โ€œAfter providing her with one final opportunity to comply, which she again refused, I informed Alicia that she was under arrest for trespassing. She expressed understanding of the situation and cooperated fully as I placed her in handcuffs, which were checked for proper fit and double-locked for safety.โ€

Officer Schwartz then escorted Levert to his cruiser.

โ€œA search of Alicia’s person was conducted prior to transport, during which she remained polite and compliant throughout the process,โ€ Officer Schwartz said.

Levert was then transported to the Leominster Police Department for booking.

Alicia Levert, 63, of Leominster, was charged with the following:

  • Trespass

Levert was arraigned in Leominster District Court on April 17, 2026. Following her arraignment, she was released on personal recognizance under the condition that she stay away from Leominster Hospital. Levertโ€™s next court appearance was a pretrial hearing scheduled for May 14, 2026.

Disclaimer: If you are wondering why the incident in this story took place in April, thatโ€™s because I had to file FOIA request(s) to obtain the court documents. FOIAs are time-consuming.
