โThe target of the investigation was identified as Iman Kaveh,โ Officer Juaire said.
According to police, Iman Kaveh, 42, is a resident of Worcester, MA.
โThe warrant was approved for a search of Kaveh’s place of employment, the Gulf Gas Station, located at 22 Maple Avenue, Shrewsbury, MA, 01545, as well as Kaveh’s vehicle, a 2014 Honda CRV color white bearing MA Reg. [# redacted],โ Officer Juaire said.
Officer Juaire said Kaveh arrived in his vehicle at approximately 2:05 p.m. and was detained by Shrewsbury police detectives.
โA search of the store was conducted, which yielded negative results for any contraband, as Kaveh had yet to enter the store for the beginning of his shift,โ Officer Juaire said. โUpon a quick inspection of the vehicle, observed by officers was a green gym bag on the front passenger seat of the vehicle, which was unzipped, displaying the contents.โ
Inside the open green gym bag, officers observed multiple tied-off glassine baggies containing orange and blue pills packaged for distribution, Officer Juaire reported.
โAs a result, Kaveh was notified he was under arrest,โ Officer Juaire said. โKaveh was read his Miranda warning, as well as provided with a copy of the search warrant. It should be noted that Kaveh was the only occupant of the vehicle as it arrived on scene.โ
Officer Juaire said Loveyโs Towing & Recovery was called to the scene and transported the vehicle to the police station, where the warrant could be executed in a controlled environment.
โMembers of the Shrewsbury Police Department followed Lovey’s back to the station to preserve the continuity of the evidence,โ Officer Juaire added.
While executing the search warrant on the vehicle, investigators located the following items:
- 4.49 grams of cocaine packaged in several separate tied-off, corner-cut baggies
- 78.52 grams of Adderall pills packaged in several separate tied-off corner cut baggies
- 0.5 grams of oxycodone (for pills total) in a tied-off, corner-cut baggie
- Four tan and 10 black pills identified as Viagra (a Class E controlled substance) were located in an aluminum pill package
- $1,765.00 U.S. currency, which Officer Juaire said was seized and submitted for asset forfeiture
Officer Juaire added that Kavehโs 2015 Honda CRV was also submitted for asset forfeiture to the Worcester County District Attorneyโs office.
โKaveh was booked without incident, and held on $100,000 bail,โ Officer Juaire said.
Iman Kaveh, 42, of Worcester, was charged with the following:
- Cocaine, Trafficking in 18 Grams or More, Less Than 36 Grams
- Possess to Distribute Cocaine
- Possess Class A Drug with Intent to Distribute
- Possess Class E Substance
Kaveh was arraigned in Westborough District Court on June 25, 2026. During his arraignment, Kaveh pleaded not guilty, and Judge Jennifer Stark set his bail at $50,000 cash. The court also issued a mittimus committing him to custody.
Kavehโs next court date is a pretrial conference hearing scheduled for July 31, 2026.
