EAST BRIDGEWATER — On Wednesday, Aug. 5, 2026, at approximately 11:33 a.m., East Bridgewater Police Detective Cecilia Cacciatore responded to a home after receiving a report of a sexual assault incident involving a woman with severe mobility issues who uses a wheelchair.
According to East Bridgewater Police Chief Michael Jenkins, the woman reported that a man delivering medication to her home assaulted her.
Police said the investigation determined that on Sunday, Aug. 2, a man working for a pharmaceutical delivery service arrived at the woman’s home to deliver medication, entered the residence without her permission, and then repeatedly touched her inappropriately and without her consent.
During the preliminary investigation, Detective Cacciatore identified the suspect as 39-year-old Qaisar Ali of Brockton and identified a white Toyota Camry as his vehicle, Chief Jenkins said.

Detective Cacciatore obtained an arrest warrant for Ali on Aug.5, and later that day, East Bridgewater police located his vehicle and conducted a traffic stop. Ali was then arrested without incident and held on $10,000 bail.
Qaisar Ali, 39, of Brockton, was arrested and charged with the following:
- Assault and Battery on an Elderly or Disabled Person (three counts)
- Indecent Assault and Battery on an Elderly or Disabled Person (two counts)
- Indecent Exposure
- Breaking and Entering in the Daytime
- Assault with Intent to Commit Rape
Ali was scheduled to be arraigned Thursday, Aug. 6, in Brockton District Court.
“I would like to commend the strong work of Detective Cacciatore and the East Bridgewater Police Department,” Chief Jenkins said. “In this case, we were able to identify the suspect and their vehicle and make an arrest within the same day as our initial response.”
