GROVELAND — Amanda Williams has joined Dr. Elmer S. Bagnall School as its new assistant principal, the Pentucket Regional School District announced Friday.
Williams has spent her entire career in elementary education, working as a classroom teacher, math interventionist, and school administrator. She most recently served as assistant principal at Goodyear Elementary School in Woburn.
Principal James Day said Williams’ experience and student-centered leadership style will make her a valuable addition to the school.
“From the moment Amanda visited Bagnall, it was clear that she shares our commitment to putting students first and building strong relationships with families and staff,” Principal Day said.
Williams said she plans to maintain a visible presence throughout the school by greeting students, visiting classrooms, supporting staff, and helping students navigate challenges. She also emphasized the importance of partnerships between schools and families.
“I believe children do their very best when they know they are seen, valued, and supported, and that philosophy has guided me throughout my career,” Williams said.
Williams lives in nearby Merrimac with her family. She said serving students and families close to home makes the opportunity particularly meaningful.
Superintendent Justin Bartholomew said Williams brings experience, perspective, and a genuine concern for students to the position.
“She understands that strong schools are built through relationships, collaboration, and trust, and we are excited to welcome her to Bagnall and the Pentucket community,” Dr. Bartholomew said.
