Douglas Police Officers Adam Wright and Jonathan Gomes also responded to the scene.

The caller said the vehicle was a white 2017 Audi A3 with Massachusetts plates.

โ€œI located this vehicle on Webster Street and conducted a motor vehicle stop,โ€ Officer Kontoes said. โ€œI approached the vehicle and identified the operator to be Dorian Peaslee.โ€

According to police, Dorian C. Peaslee, 33, is a resident of Webster, MA.

โ€œPeaslee was informed of the reason for the stop,โ€ Officer Kontoes said. โ€œPeaslee denied any erratic operation.โ€

Officer Kontoes said Peasleeโ€™s pupils appeared constricted and she seemed drowsy and sluggish while speaking with him.

โ€œThroughout this interaction, Peaslee stared at me with a confused look on her face,โ€ Officer Kontoes said. โ€œI asked Peaslee if she was taking any prescription drugs to which she stated no.โ€

At around this time, Officer Kontoes said Officer Gomes arrived on scene and saw multiple prescription bottles on the front passenger seat.

โ€œBased on these observations, Peaslee was asked to step out of her vehicle,โ€ Officer Kontoes said. โ€œOnce outside of the vehicle, Peaslee was questioned about these prescription bottles.โ€

Peaslee said they contained her prescribed gabapentin medication.

โ€œPeaslee stated that she has not consumed gabapentin in two days although she has been directed to take four pills a day,โ€ Officer Kontoes said.

Officer Kontoes then asked Peaslee to perform roadside assessments.

โ€œI asked Peaslee again when the last time she had gabapentin was, and she responded with seven o’clock this morning,โ€ Officer Kontoes said. Adding, โ€œAfter the conclusion of the roadside assessments, I asked Peaslee to see her gabapentin prescription. I inspected the bottle, and confirmed that Peaslee did have 600mg of gabapentin prescribed to her.โ€

Officer Kontoes then asked Peaslee about the other prescription bottle in the vehicle, which she handed to Officer Gomes.

โ€œOfficer Gomes observed this prescription to be torsemide and it was prescribed to โ€˜Kevin Smith,โ€™” Officer Kontoes said. โ€œPeaslee told officers that she works as a registered nurse at Lydia Taft House in Uxbridge. Peaslee stated that her work allows her to keep the medication if it has been discontinued. Peaslee stated that she had been taking the medication for a UTI. After looking up the medication (torsemide), it was discovered that it is consumed for heart issues and edema.โ€

Officer Kontoes said that he and Officer Gomes then searched Peasleeโ€™s vehicle based on probable cause.

โ€œDuring a search of the vehicle, a packaged hypodermic needle was found within the vehicle. Peaslee stated that this was from her work,โ€ Officer Kontoes said. โ€œAlso, within a pocket of Peaslee’s purse was half of a round, green pill with the imprints โ€˜8โ€™ and โ€˜VA.โ€™ After looking this pill up, it was discovered to be 1-milligram of clonazepam (Klonopin). A typical round clonazepam pill would contain โ€˜TEVA 833.โ€™ Additionally, more prescription medications were found in Peaslee’s trunk with the names ripped off.โ€

Officer Kontoes said the medications found in the trunk were identified as nitrofurantoin, sulfamethoxazole, and trimethoprim.

โ€œThe packaged appearance was similar to the torsemide that Peaslee took from her work,โ€ Officer Kontoes said. โ€œThese medications were also located within a Ziploc bag that had numerous prescription bottles with Peaslee’s name on it.โ€

Officer Kontoes said Peaslee was then arrested for drug possession and placed in handcuffs.

โ€œPeaslee was then transported to the Douglas Police Department for booking,โ€ Officer Kontoes said. โ€œWhile conducting a search of Peaslee, I located a metal bottle cap with brown residue in her pants pocket.โ€

Officer Kontoes said that, based on his training and experience, he believed the bottle cap had been used to heat and prepare heroin for injection.

โ€œI also discovered a ripped corner baggie that also contained a brown residue within the same pocket,โ€ Officer Kontoes said. โ€œBased on my training and experience, this brown residue was consistent with the appearance of heroin. In addition, I also located a hypodermic needle within Peaslee’s sock. Peaslee then was provided with her applicable rights.โ€

Dorian C. Peaslee, 33, of Webster, was arrested and charged with the following:

  • Possess Class A Drug (heroin)
  • Possess Class C Drug (clonazepam)
  • Possess Class E Drug (torsemide)
  • Possess Class E Drug (nitrofurantoin)
  • Possess Class E Drug (sulfamethoxazole-trimethoprim)

โ€œThe bail commissioner was notified, and Peaslee’s bail was set at personal recognizance,โ€ Officer Kontoes said.

Peasleeโ€™s arraignment was scheduled for Aug. 18, 2026, in Uxbridge District Court.
