CHESHIRE — Former Cheshire Police Chief Michael Alibozek pleaded guilty last week to one count of sexual conduct for a fee in Greenfield District Court and was sentenced to six months of probation.
According to the Berkshire District Attorney’s Office, as part of the sentence, Alibozek must continue receiving mental health services and pay a $250 fine and a $50 victim witness fee.
The case stems from Nov. 6, 2025, when Massachusetts State Police arrested Alibozek in the parking lot of Hoosac Valley Middle and High School at approximately 9:45 p.m. after he arranged to meet up to solicit sex from a woman.
The Berkshire District Attorney’s Office reported that Alibozek had been communicating online with an undercover detective assigned to the Berkshire State Police Detective Unit.
At the time of his arrest, Alibozek was serving as Cheshire’s police chief. He was relieved of duty and placed on paid administrative leave by the town administrator and Select Board chair. His town-issued firearm and access to the police station were seized, and the Town of Cheshire reported the matter to the Massachusetts POST Commission.
