Motorcyclist arrested after Worcester police find fentanyl and cash following crash

WORCESTER — On Sunday, Oct. 4, 2026, at approximately 3:03 a.m., Worcester police officers responded to Belmont Street following a report of a crash.

According to the Worcester Police Department, when officers arrived on scene, they found a vehicle with significant front-end damage and determined that a motorcycle had also been involved in the crash.

While police worked to identify the operator of the motorcycle, they located a bag that emergency medical personnel had cut off of him while providing treatment.

The Worcester Police Department reported that when officers opened the bag in an attempt to locate the motorcycle operator’s identification, they allegedly discovered a large plastic bag containing individually wrapped baggies of drugs, along with a large amount of cash.

The operator of the motorcycle was identified as 31-year-old Justin Lacombe. He was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Worcester police said Lacombe was also found to have a suspended driver’s license and three outstanding warrants.

In addition to the warrants, Lacombe was charged with trafficking heroin and trafficking fentanyl.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation, according to Worcester police.
