FITCHBURG — Fire tore through a residential complex in Fitchburg Thursday afternoon.
According to a statement posted on the Fitchburg Fire Department’s Facebook page at around 3 p.m., the three-alarm fire took place at a three-unit residential complex located at 118 Intervale Road.
Fire fighters worked to contain the blaze, which enveloped the building, sending thick plumes of gray and black smoke into the air.
Fire fighters say the streets around Intervale Road may be blocked to traffic.
No information about injuries have been released at the present time.
