FRAMINGHAM — A Framingham woman beat the astronomical odds, winning $1 million on a scratch ticket she purchased at the convenience store of a local gas station.
Tipwan Sahasankmontri won the second highest prize in the the Massachusetts State Lottery’s “$5,000,000 100X Cashword” instant ticket game.

She purchased the winning ticket at Riverside Gulf, a gas station with a convenience store located at 1530 Concord Street in Framingham.
On Thursday, April 13, Sahasankmontri claimed the prize, deciding to take the one-lump-sum of $650,000 (before taxes), rather than $50,000 a year for 20 years.
According to MassLottery.com, the odds of winning the $1,000,000 prize on the “$5,000,000 100X Cashword” instant ticket game are 1 in 1,008,000.
Sahasankmontri plans on using the money to buy a home and pay off her son’s student loans.
Riverside Gulf will receive a $10,000 bonus for selling the ticket.
