Cumberland Farms in South Lancaster sells $100,000 lottery ticket

LANCASTER — A patron of the Cumberland Farms in South Lancaster came home $100,000 richer after purchasing a “Mass Cash” ticket on Wednesday, January 10.

According to the Massachusetts State Lottery, $100,000 is the top prize for the Mass Cash drawing, the other prizes are $250 and $10.

Overall, there’s a 1 in 72 chance of winning any prize in the game, according to the Massachusetts State Lottery’s website. However, there’s only a 1 in 324,632 probability that any one ticket will be the $100,000 prize winner.

The winning numbers for the drawing on Jan. 10 were 10, 13, 16, 18 and 20.

Mass Cash tickets cost $1 and drawings take place every day at 9 p.m.

To play, those trying their luck either pick five numbers or choose a Quic Pic ticket with computer generated numbers.

The name of the winner was not announced by the Massachusetts State Lottery.
