WESTMINSTER — Westminster and state police are investigating a fatal accident that took place on Route 2A Saturday night.
According to the Worcester County District Attorney’s Office, a car struck and killed a pedestrian on Route 2A at about 8:45 p.m. last Saturday.
Following the accident, officials say, a portion of the road was closed.
The driver remained on scene following the accident. No charges have yet been filed.
The name of the victim has not been released by police yet.
The accident is still under investigation.
